Happy New Year!!!!!

Hi! Happy New Year from Panama everybody! I hope that the new year brings much luck, happiness, fun, and adventure to you all!
Tonight the firecrackers are exploding non stop and the roosters are crowing in the background as well.
A couple of days ago Luis brother Jose and his wife Stephanie arrived in Panama! And guess who arrives tomorrow? Alex and Joy! Right now the adventurers are in the Boston Logan airport where they are going to spend the night before their flight tomorrow. They are going to be really tired tomorrow, but we will make sure they are well taken care of when they get here. I am probably going to be going crazy tomorrow just looking forward for them to arrive, so I´ll need to distract myself all day!
I can post new photos. There are many really beautiful ones. There are some I want to post tomorrow that I didn´t want Alex and Joy to see yet, because when they come I want it to be a complete surprise. Can you imagine that there is a spot near the ocean where there is a farm and some trees and a flock of nine Guacamayas live.....and they actually flew down and landed all around us hoping for a treat? I´ll have to post the pictures tomorrow. Alex and Joy simply have to see this! Incredible.
Feliz Año!!!!!!!!

Luis and Jose, The Farm

Day at La Finca (The Farm) in Boquete

A Mysterious and Miraculous Walking Leaf at the Farm

Dos Rios Hotel, Volcan (Ladies Tea Time)

A Trip to Volcan

All of the pictures in the blog so far are from my first week here. Luis´parents and I took a daytrip to the beautiful mountain town of Volcan. The next day, Rosalina, Alessandra and I returned to Volcan because Rosalina wanted to buy a beautiful chair from a special furniture store and the pictures below were taken at the store. The furniture was made in the back of the store and the man who sold us the chair was also the one who made it.
I have really enjoyed spending time with Alessandra. She is a very smart girl and she is very responsible and hardworking. She is very brave too and smiles a lot.
Every day she learns something new to say in English.
After we picked up the chair we went for a ladies tea time at the same hotel I went to with Luis´parents, the Dos Rios hotel.
