Welcome Back to Panama!

Hello friends and family! I am safely in Panama. Luis will arrive on Tuesday. I had a very good trip and I am happy to be here. Luis´ parents, Jose and Rosalina, are both well. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. This morning I woke up to the sound, ¨Bee Bee Bee Beep...Bee bee bee Beep!¨I was half asleep and I thought ¨Uhoh, time for someone to get up.¨ Then I realised it was only a bug. Everything feels sort of like a dream. The sunshine is so beautiful. I arrived on Tuesday in Panama City. Luis´Uncle Miguel and Aunt Anais came to pick me up at the airport and brought me to Rosalina´s cousin Itzel and her husband Leo´s house to stay the night. They were very kind. Rosalina even told Itzel that I like Papaya and she had a fresh papaya waiting for me! While I was eating it I had trouble focusing on anything else. It was so good!
I took a small plane from Panama City in the morning. A lot of people were distressed because the plane was delayed and we had to wait an hour or more. Then, the plane was very small and some people didn´t like that. I didn´t mind so much. I was just happy to have arrived safely. The plane was noisy and flew very high, but as we descended into David I saw the general green gradually defined into the shape of trees. I saw a beautiful winding river that met the ocean.
I have been here in David for about 24 hours and already I have been to Boquete last night where I accompanied Rosalina as she passed out the final written English exam for her students. We also took a break while they were writing and had a cup of cinnamon tea sitting outside at the cafeteria. :) I spoke with several of Rosalina´s students to help them practice their English. The school building is very open. There is a large courtyard and from there the students can be seen at their desks through the open doors of the classrooms. I stood under the full moon in the courtyard with Bianca a very talkative girl who had finished her exam. The mountains rose in the background with billowing silver fog around them. The air was cool because of the rain that fell shortly before we arrived. The large, cool droplets, rolled off the broad, glossy leaves of trees and plants along the road.
This morning I went to exercise class with Rosalina. Ok, well look for more entries soon! Take care! Hasta Luego!
