A New Entry from David

Hello Everyone! Everything is going well in Panama. Luis arrives tomorrow and we are going to pick him up.
I have lots of stories to share and when Luis comes, I´ll be able to upload all the pictures I have taken so far. We went to the town of Volcan yesterday. When Alex comes he wants to hike on Volcan Baru and that is the town where our hike would begin. If we go we´ll need a good guide so we won´t get lost up there!
We had a beautiful afternoon in Volcan. Luis´parents and I went to a lovely hotel with a huge garden for lunch. We had mushroom pizza, spaghetti, and fresh papaya, strawberry, and pinapple smoothies. We sat outdoors and listened to birds and the sound of a little river flowing happily by. We found a really nice spot by the big Chiriqui river to sit. The wind was blowing and all the trees were moving. Cool soft rain drops blew sideways across the river.Everything around was green. The walls of the mountains around are steep and everything is encrusted with plants. I felt a little bit dizzy on the drive up because of the elevation and the swerving road. I can´t really put into words how beautiful this place is. There are lots of places to stop and get fruits and vegetables on the side of the road. The fruits and vegetables are famous in that area and it is no wonder to me. How amazing to be able to eat something that grew in such a magical place.
